All India Alternative Medical Practitioners’ Association (AIAMPA)

The All India Alternative Medical Practitioners’ Association enlightens members about the opportunities that abound to earn and serve ailing humanity through the various benign and cost effective methods of healing. It also enables them to actively participate in the development and proliferation of alternative medicines which is gaining ground the world over.

The AIAMPA lists amongst its objectives: the promotion of improved standards of practice management, education and training and the integration of complementary medicine into orthodox healthcare.

Through the association, members/fellow members can share their ideas and participate in the activities of an ever increasing fraternity of fellow member practitioners, and be part of a dynamic organisation of international stature and credibility.

Global Education Foundation (GEF)

Global Education Foundation is a private, nonprofit international organization with both academic and field project capabilities. The Foundation is a leader in the fields of international exchange, study abroad, sustainable development, teacher education, language training, peace building, and NGO management.

Global Education Foundation promotes international and intercultural understanding, democracy, social justice, and economic development through education, training, and field projects around the globe. In the fulfillment of this mission, we prepare individuals, institutions, and communities to be inspiring and effective leaders of change.


Indian Board of Alternative Medicines (IBAM)

The Indian Board of Alternative Medicines under the presidentship of Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal is the nation’s foremost organisation in the field of alternative medicines with a membership in excess of 70,000 practitioners, 10,000 students and 185 affiliated centers spread across the length and breadth of the country.

True to its motto, “Indigenous Roots, Global Pursuits”, the Board has brought alternative medicines to the attention of the masses and trained thousands of students in India and abroad through its various courses in the different disciplines of alternative medicines such as acupressure, acupuncture, aromatherapy, electro homeopathy, magnetotherapy, reiki, etc. To further facilitate the study of alternative medicines.

The Board also regularly organises workshops on the different alternative therapies for large corporations and companies such as BHEL, TISCO, JINDAL and INDALCO to name but a few.

It is affiliated to over fifty reputed organisations worldwide and has the unique distinction of being the only institution in the country to be recognised by and affiliated to the United Nations Peace University.


Indian Board of Education & Research (IBER)

The Indian Board of Education & Research (IBER) represents new concepts in meeting the challenges facing the educational system and significant commitment of resources in support of educational programs. IBER is concerned with improving the educational process by encouraging scholarly inquiry related to education and by promoting the dissemination and practical application of research results.

IBER embodies several important concepts. It provides opportunities to conduct researches on educational development in a coordinated and integrated approach by bringing together multi-disciplinary expertise. The Board’s specific concern is research on development and learning from the perspective of institutionalized education. Educational settings such as schools are conceived as providing a specific structure of opportunities and constraints for learning and development. This structure offers a variety of developmental opportunities, but at the same time excludes others. IBER is the most prominent international, non-profit organization with the primary goal of advancing educational research and its practical application.

The Indian Institute of Alternative Medicines (IIAM) is the premier and leading institute of the world affiliated to the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines which is India’s largest internationally recognised and legally constituted organisation of its kind.

In spite of the consistent advance of western medicine there is still a dearth of doctors and practitioners. Hence, there exists vast scope to practice alternative medicine and career prospects in this field are indeed bright and beckoning. Opportunities abound to earn and serve ailing humanity through benign and cost effective methods of healing, and to be an active participant in the development and proliferation of alternative medicines which is gaining ground all over the world.


Indian Institute of Naturopathy (IIN)

Indian Institute of Naturopathy is an internationally recognized body committed to develop and propagate Naturopathy & Yoga.

Yoga & Naturopathy provide not only a simple practical approach to the management of diseases, but a firm theoretical basis which is applicable to all the holistic medical care and by giving attention to the foundations of health; also offers a more economical frame work for the medicine of future generation.

In recent times there is a growing awareness among the people about the efficacy and utility of Yoga and Nature Cure in keeping one fit at physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual planes. These systems are emerging as the effective methods and means to improve the total personality and to build a healthy society. Above all, these systems are adopted as a way of life rather than a mode of treatment. We strongly believe that Naturopathic & Yogic methods can play a vital role in the Natural Health Scheme due to its wide accessibility, acceptability and affordability.


Indian Society of Doctors for Environment (ISDE)

Indian Society of Doctors for Environment is an environmental NGO of medical doctors. It is an independent, non-governmental non-profit organisation. It was created on 25 November 1990 and has now national and regional member organisations in over 35 countries. The Executive Office of ISDE is located in Switzerland. ISDE also has a scientific office, which coordinates research, information and training activities.

The main purpose of ISDE is to help defend our environment both locally and globally to prevent numerous illnesses, ensure the necessary conditions for health, and improve the quality of life. In order to safeguard the health of our own generation and of future ones, we must care for the environment.

ISDE was established as a tool for educating and updating physicians and the general public, and stimulating awareness and initiatives by public and private bodies, in particular governmental agencies. The Association intends to reach out to all, as fellow citizens of the world.


Institute of Education Reasearch & Development (IERD)

Institute of Education Research & Development is an internationally recognized, non-political, non-profit and independent educational body committed to the development and propagation of new age education comprising of people interested in the promotion of education at all its levels and all spheres in order to develop the latent potentials of individuals and communities.

Education is more than memory training and more than informing a child or student as to the past and its achievements. Those factors have their place, and the past must be understood and studied, for out of it must grow that which is new, its flower and its fruit. Education involves more than the investigation of a subject and the forming of subsequent conclusions leading to hypotheses which, in their own turn, lead to still more investigation and conclusions. Education is more than a sincere effort to fit a child or adult to be a good citizen, an intelligent parent and no charge upon the state. It has a far wider application than producing a human being who will be a commercial asset and not a commercial liability. Education has other objectives than rendering life enjoyable and so enabling men and women to achieve a culture which will permit them to participate with interest in all that transpires in the three worlds of human affairs. It is all the above, but should also be much more.


International Alternative Medical Association (IAMA)

The International Alternative Medical Association has been established to provide a worldwide platform for alternative medical practitioners enabling them to unite and speak in one strong voice.

The association provides the forum alternative medical practitioners to exchange ideas and information, concepts and knowledge. Through membership/fellowship of the association practitioners can increase their awareness of the trends and happenings in the field of alternative medicines in different parts of the country. Member practitioners can highlight their contributions and achievements in the field of alternative medicine for consideration of awards conferred on meritorious and dedicated practitioners in recognition of their efforts and accomplishments.


International Association of Educators for World Peace (IAEWP)

The International Association of Educators for World Peace is founded to contribute to the improvement of man’s ability to live at peace and to educate world citizens for peaceful co-existence and cooperation so that all people may have free access to the achievements of science and civilization.

Deeply concerned over the non-violent approach through education in its broadest sense, the International Association of Educators for World Peace (IAEWP) urges the creation of a new breed of scientists, philosophers, parents, students, all educators, and especially leaders who are inspired with the vision of restoring world peace.

We plan to set up a countervailing force to war, to marshal those forces for peace that now lie latent in every human heart. With the unique participation of enlightened and determined citizens, we can initiate and further promote those projects and activities needed to light up the pathway to world peace. Our major focus will be to plan ventures in international cooperation that would emphasize technology as it can benefit the entire human race and as the alternative to war.

IAEWP was founded in Oslo, Norway in 1970, by a group of educators who are socially conscious and shared the same vision and concern over the increasingly violent culture worldwide.

IAEWP is now has chapters in over 100 countries, with consultative status at many United Nations agencies and since 1987 is a designated Peace Messenger of the United Nations.


International Homoeopathic Medical Foundation (IHMF)

The International Homoeopathic Medical Foundation is an internationally recognized body committed to the development and propagation of Homoeopathy.

Established under the charter of the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines, the Open International University for Alternative Medicines is one of the largest open international educational academies and a premier institution in the field of alternative / complementary medicines and health promotion in India. Under the guidance of its Chancellor Emeritus, His Holiness Lama Gangchen, founder of the Lama Gangchen World Peace Foundation (Italy) and Vice – Chancellor, Dr. S. K. Agarwal, the university aims to advance the study of and research into various alternative therapies and provide a high standard of training and education in the different disciplines of alternative / complementary medicines. With students from all over the world and every region of India on its rolls, the university has acquired a truly international character and profile. It offers a wide range of diploma, bachelor and post graduate courses in a number of alternative therapies such as Acupressure, Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Biochemic Medicines, Bach Flower Remedies, Electro Homoeopathy, Magnet therapy, Naturopathy, Reiki, Yoga etc.


Paschim Banga Prakritik Chikitsa Parishad (PBPCP)

Paschim Banga Prakritik Chikitsa Parishad organizes Naturopathic training courses and examinations on behalf of the Akhil Bharatiya Prakritik Chikitsa Parishad, New Delhi. Naturopathy is a holistic treatment which works by eliminating the toxic elements from the body. In naturopathy that got popular in India after Mahatma Gandhi started practicing it to cure the ailments, five therapies called mud therapy, hydro therapy, chromo therapy, yoga and fasting are applied to treat the patients.

Nature cure and yoga are gaining popularity in today´s anxious and stressful world, as they are the treatment systems without drugs and surgery, and without side effects! Nature cure and yoga ensure sound health and longevity as they support the holistic qualities of body, mind and spirit.

In order to make people aware of these treatment systems and influenced by the Gandhian way of life, the Paschim Banga Prakritik Chikitsa Parishad, was established.

Rural Health Society (RHS)

The Rural Health Society offers the opportunity for researchers and their collaborators to network with new and established researchers of many disciplines engaged in rural, remote and northern health research.

The Society works to advance the cause of rural and remote health research in India. The mission of the Society is to facilitate research and knowledge translation aimed at understanding and promoting the health of people living in rural and remote India. The society believes in building inter-disciplinary, multi-disciplinary, mutually supportive and community-focused research networks concerned with rural and remote health and to develop health research that is responsive to the needs of people living in rural and remote communities.


UNESCO Club of Calcutta

The First World Congress of UNESCO Clubs met at UNESCO Headquarters in April 1978 and unanimously adopted the principle of establishing a World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations (WFUCA).

In the half-century the UNESCO Clubs movement has been in existence, the world has witnessed a vast range of events concerning every one of UNESCO’s fields of competence. In 2005, the movement included some 3,600 associations, centres and UNESCO clubs in 90 countries throughout the world. At the international level, the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations (WFUCA) is responsible for informing, coordinating and mobilizing its members, with UNESCO’s support and cooperation.

In the light of civil society’s growing role in public policy-making, the Club movement can play a key part in educating citizens, and can contribute to dialogue between cultures and generations for sustainable development. The UNESCO Club of Calcutta shares a commitment to UNESCO’s ideals and works to translate them into reality on the ground. Members are therefore well placed to present the views of civil society to decision-makers.


West Bengal Naturopathic Medical College & Hospital (WBNMCH)

Naturopathy is a distinct system of medicine that is based on a belief in the healing power of nature–and especially in the body’s innate ability to fight disease and heal itself. World Federation of UNESCO Associations (WBFUA)

The World Federation of UNESCO Associations was officially founded in July 1981, and its General Secretariat is located in Paris, France. The Federation provides general co-ordination services and encourages active co-operation among National Federations through interregional and sub regional programmes.

World Health, Environment and Peace Foundation (WHEPF)

The World Health, Environment and Peace Foundation has been established to promote those issues that are at the core of human existence – health, the environment and peace. It is the endeavour of the Foundation to promote peace and harmony at all levels of society through education and dialogue, to uphold and maintain human rights, to organise a sustained campaign for the protection and preservation of our environment & ecology and to work towards a level of well being for its fellowmen that includes physical health as well as emotional well being. The Foundation aims to creates a milieu where man lives at peace with himself, his fellowmen and in respect for nature and the environment.

In order to accomplish its aims and objects, the Foundation has a number of programmes and schemes on its agenda. It regularly organises seminars, conferences, rallies and projects on various subjects and honours persons and institutions for their contribution towards the enrichment of human lives.


World Peace & Friendship Society (WPFS)

World Peace & Friendship Society is an international, non-political, non-profit and independent organisation.

Despite all the differences, we are the creatures of a same God. We all have One heart to love others; eyes to see the beauties; ears to hear the kind songs of friendship; a tongue to express our feelings to promote peace and friendship. Yes! We are all “Human-Beings” and our values find their meanings in the society and beside others. Invaluable characteristics like: friendship, Love, Loyalty, Peace, and thousands of other good values will grow and excel in the society. So Let’s talk the message of Peace and Friendship in the world. It’s not important what our religion is or where we live, but that we love others and our hearts beat for them. We get happy by seeing them happy, and get upset with their problems. We like to live in a world filled with Love and friendship, a world where PEACE is the most beautiful word that exists. We CAN bring Peace to this world with each other’s help.


World Welfare Society (WWS)

The World Welfare Society is a non-governmental, no-profit organization dedicated to supporting organizations that provide services to disadvantaged populations and work for lasting improvements in the delivery of services that meet basic human needs. The Society’s concept of human welfare is broad. The Society remains committed to supporting organizations in all possible means that help people overcome barriers to full participation in society.

The Society pursues a strategy of “service, advocacy, and empowerment” for meeting basic human needs and promoting democratic participation for people around the globe. Inherent in this strategy is the belief that the people who are most affected by a problem should be involved in developing solutions to address it.
